Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026 · Applies to buyers and visitors of Farm2You
Welcome to Farm2You, an Irish marketplace that connects the public with local farms. By creating an account, placing an order, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms.
These pages are a practical operating policy for Farm2You. They are not a substitute for tailored legal advice.
1. Who we are
Farm2You operates an online platform that enables independent farmers (“Sellers”) to list and sell produce and related goods to customers (“Buyers”). Unless we say otherwise, Farm2You is a facilitator — not the seller of the goods.
2. Marketplace model
- Each order creates a purchase between you and the farm(s) that supply the items.
- A single checkout may include items from more than one farm.
- Farm2You provides listing, cart, checkout, messaging, and payment tooling, and may charge Sellers a platform fee.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure.
- Email confirmation is required before full access. Some roles also need admin approval.
- We may suspend or close accounts that are abusive, fraudulent, or unsafe.
4. Orders, payment & fulfilment
- Prices are shown in euro and set by the Seller unless stated otherwise.
- Payment is collected at checkout (card via our payment provider, or demo/cash modes where enabled).
- Fulfilment is by farm pickup, delivery, or a community collection point, as offered by the Seller.
- Delivery windows, minimum order values, and fees are set by the Seller and shown before you pay where possible.
5. Perishable goods & cooling-off
Much of what is sold on Farm2You is fresh or perishable food. Under EU/Irish distance-selling rules, the usual 14-day cooling-off right often does not apply to perishable goods that may deteriorate quickly. Non-perishable items may still qualify — see our Refunds policy.
6. Your responsibilities as a Buyer
- Check allergens, dietary tags, and product descriptions before ordering.
- Be available for pickup/delivery in the agreed window.
- Contact the farm promptly if there is a problem with an order.
7. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the platform (including scraping, attacking infrastructure, posting unlawful content, or attempting to bypass payments or security controls).
8. Liability
Sellers are responsible for the quality, labelling, and legality of what they sell. Farm2You is not liable for farm produce quality beyond facilitating the marketplace, except where Irish or EU law does not allow that limitation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
10. Contact
Questions about these Terms: use the in-app help chat or the contact details published on the site.
