Refunds & cancellations
Last updated: 2026
Because Farm2You is a multi-farm marketplace selling mostly fresh food, refunds depend on the product type, how far the order has progressed, and Irish/EU consumer rules.
1. Cancelling before the farm prepares your order
If an order is still pending/paid and the farm has not started preparing it, contact the farm (or Farm2You support) as soon as possible. Early cancellations are usually easiest to resolve.
2. Perishable food
Fresh produce, dairy, meat, bakery, and similar goods are typically exempt from the standard distance-selling cooling-off period once they are supplied, because they can spoil quickly. If something arrives spoiled, unsafe, or not as described, tell the farm immediately with photos if you can — a replacement or refund is often appropriate.
3. Non-perishable goods
For sealed non-food or long-life items (where offered), cooling-off rights may apply if the goods are unused and returned in original condition, subject to law and any stated exceptions.
4. Who issues the refund
- Refunds are normally arranged with the selling farm for their portion of an order.
- Card refunds are processed back to the original payment method via our payment provider where applicable.
- Platform fees related to refunded lines may be adjusted according to our Seller terms.
5. No-shows & missed pickups
If you miss an agreed pickup window without notice, the farm may be unable to hold highly perishable goods. Refunds in those cases are at the farm’s reasonable discretion.
6. Disputes
If you cannot resolve an issue with the farm, contact Farm2You support with your order number. We will help mediate where we can, without removing either party’s legal rights.
